  Dr Mrs Augustina Okem, Wife of Yala Local Government chairman on Tuesday joined the First Lady of Cross River State,Bishop  Eyoanwan Bassey Otu to bring succour Yala women as a way of reaching out to them during New Celebration. They distributed gifts, food items and cash gift to  showcase their commitment and support for women in line with the People First Agenda of the helmsman of Cross River State. Yala 11 State Constituency Representative, Hon Dr Martins Achadu  in an oversight visit as Cross River State House of Assembly  Committee on Works led  by its Chairman, Hon  Agbe Abem  and Engr  Thomas Aruku visited Ukelle Road Project site. While on the inspection, the committee expressed delight at the level of work being done so far especially the drainages and chains of standard culverts under construction. The Chairman of Yala Local Government Area, Elder,Dr Fred Okem has restated his determination to ensure the local government area moves forward to benefit all indigenes and residents of the council area . Hon Dr Fred Okem, Yala LG Chair  Dr Okem restated this commitment  while swearing- in a thirteen- member Asset Recovery Committee on Monday in his office at Okpoma, the Council Headquarters.
