UNICEF 2024 End-of-Year Review: Dr Hippolatus Lukpata Thanks Gov. Otu

Elder Dr. Hippolatus Lukpata,  Commissioner for International Donor Coordination (MIDC) has expressed deep gratitude to  Senator  Bassey Edet Otu, the People’s First Governor of Cross River State over his  support in creating an enabling environment for partnership that has given Cross River an outlook that is cherished by development partners.

Dr Lukpata made this disclosure on Friday at the UNICEF 2024 End-of-Year Review Consultation held in Calabar. At the event, Dr. Lukpata acknowledged Governor Otu’s leadership in facilitating the successful collaboration between the United Nation's Children Fund(UNICEF )and MIDC which has been instrumental in advancing child welfare programs across the state.

The commissioner  also emphasised that the Governor’s efforts have allowed UNICEF to address key issues which includes; education, healthcare and child protection.


As UNICEF reviewed its achievements and challenges in 2024, Dr. Lukpata reiterated the importance of continued government support to ensure the well being of children in Cross River State moving forward into 2025.


A Cross Section of Participants 

Recall that  UNICEF which is a global body  has continued to accelerate development Initiative across the world such that there is sustained efforts towards children development and Cross River State is a beneficiary of the organization's efforts.
