SENATOR ODEY SPREADS CHRISTMAS JOY ON BOXING DAY WITH YACHE, UKELLE AND OGOJA WOMEN

 

In the spirit of Christmas and Boxing Day, the Commissioner for Education, Cross River State, Senator (Associate Professor) Stephen Odey, distributed high-quality wax wrappers to over 800 women from Yache, Ukelle and Ogoja.

The women also received financial support to aid in their transportation, whereas Yache political stakeholders received a live cow and financial support to further celebrate Christmas on Boxing Day. A delegation from Ukelle, led by Comrade Solomon Ugo Solomon, also received the guaranteed wax wrappers for the Ukelle women. One elder Okpoli from Yache ward, known for his unwavering commitment to truth and peaceful disposition, was also gifted with a brand new motorcycle by the Commissioner. This is coming after celebrating Christmas with the Aye-Oko community of Yala and its environs, earlier.










The political stakeholders and women of Yache and Ogoja were effusive in their praise for Associate Professor Odey, the Commissioner, as they expressed their deep appreciation for his extraordinary generosity and kindness to humanity. They collectively offered thanks to God for the gift of Senator Odey, while praying for divine blessings and protection to be bestowed upon him. The event was attended by several high-profile personalities from Ogoja and Yala Local Government Areas, that includes former Chairman of Ogoja LGA, Hon Chief Sylvenus Idam, Director, Cross River State Road Maintenance Agency, Hon John Monday Odo, former Secretary of Council, Yala LGA, Hon Idiku David, Mrs Francisca Oniga former State women leader and many other distinguished figures were present and generous in their accolades for Senator Odey.


Associate Professor Odey urged the people to remain resolute in their sustained support for Governor Bassey Edet Otu's administration, which is performing exceptionally well and demonstrating a commitment to transforming the democratic landscape and providing greater democratic dividends to the people.
