Ahead of New Year Celebration : Wife of Yala LG Chair Joins C'River First Lady To Spread Love To Women in Yala

 

Dr Mrs Augustina Okem, Wife of Yala Local Government chairman on Tuesday joined the First Lady of Cross River State,Bishop  Eyoanwan Bassey Otu to bring succour Yala women as a way of reaching out to them during New Celebration.



They distributed gifts, food items and cash gift to  showcase their commitment and support for women in line with the People First Agenda of the helmsman of Cross River State.

Accordingly, the wife of the LG boss expressed gratitude to Her Excellency for the thoughtful gesture and prayed for continued achievements and strength to uplift Cross River women. 


This collaborative effort demonstrates the dedication of these leaders to supporting women's development and prosperity in Yala Local Government and Cross River State at large.

Teenager Commits Suicide Over Poor JAMB Scores

  19-year-old, Opesusi Faith Timilehin, has taken her own life in Ikorodu, Lagos State, after scoring 190 in 2025 UTME. Faith Timilehin took her own life in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday The Deceased Teenager  The teenager, originally from Abeokuta, had been living with her elder sister in Ikorodu. According to family and neighbours, Timilehin was a calm and respectful young woman with high academic hopes. She had applied to study Microbiology and was deeply disappointed by her score of 190, which she considered lower than her 2024 result. “She said her last year’s result was better than this year’s,” a close friend told News Central on the phone.
