Chief Asegem Lauds Gov. Otu Over 5KM Road Approval For Ukelle

Chief Asegem Emmanuel,SSA To Gov. The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Timber Control in Northern Senatorial District, Chief Asegem Emmanuel has commended the state government on the approval of  5KM road construction of Yahe-Wanokom-Wanikade-wanihem Benue Border Road. Stating this in a chat with newsmen in Calabar on Thursday, Chief Asegem expressed gratitude to Governor Bassey Otu for transforming roads in Calabar and even extending new frontiers of road construction in Cross River North and Central Senatorial Districts. He urged residents of areas where road infrastructure has been marped out  to  cooperate with the state government of Cross River State on the project to meet the target in line with expected outcome during phase 1 of the project. Gov. Otu gives automatic employment to ex-corps member who honoured father in viral video

 Cross River Governor, Senator Bassey Otu has granted Miss Arit Abam, an ex-corps member, automatic employment in the state civil service for honouring her father's sacrifices to give her higher education.  Miss Arit Anam returned to her father's thatch house in their village and filmed herself marching towards him; with a military-style salute, she thanked her father and handed over both her NYSC jacket and faze-cap to him. Accreditation: UNICAL cautions COREN over false claims on status of engineering courses

  The University of Calabar has reacted to a malicious publication on on some national dailies, credited to the Council for the  Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) and titled "Get Properly Accredited or Risk Blacklisting, Engineering Council warns UNICAL, Adamawa Varsity" A release issued by the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Mr Gabriel Egbe, on behalf of Management wondered why COREN which claims to be statutorily saddled with the responsibility of ensuring Professional Accreditation of Engineering Programmes in Nigerian Universities, should be working very hard, using the public space to truncate the efforts of the institution and thereby tarnishing the image of the University.
