In a chat on Wednesday, shortly after the approval of the much needed infrastructure project in Ukelle, Elder Lukpata told journalists that the  people’s will remains the ultimate in democracy and that Senator Prince Bassey Otu represents People's First Agenda.

It was gathered that the Cross River State Government on Thursday approved infrastructure outlay in the three Senatorial Districts in different phases with the 5km phase 1 accorded to the North Ukelle Road in Northern Senatorial District.

Approved Resolutions

According to the Commissioner who is the highest ranking Ukelle person in the Cross River State Executive Council.

"As a populist, people-oriented government therefore, the Governor  has approved this project which is very close to the hearts of Ukelle people and the bastion of economic development for people of Yala II.

“ Governor Otu runs a welfarist regime of infrastructure engineering whereby the needs, yearnings and aspirations of the people are well articulated, aggregated, approved and implemented.

“This is such that the greatest happiness goes to the greatest number of the people given that he  has demonstrated an ultra high level of statesmanship and public spirit by hearkening to the people’s wish with such approval that has led to happiness across Ukelle land.

"It is my firm  believed that the love, kindness and admiration reposed in the people by the populist Governor will be recognised and reciprocated at all times by the people of Ukelle," the Commissioner said.
