The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar has stated that the essence of the institution's Solemn Assembly is to hand over the affairs of the management of the citadel of learning to God. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi stated this at a service tagged "Solemn Assembly 2024" with the theme titled " Walk with Me Oh Lord" held at the Unical International Conference Centre. The University of Calabar has won the first, runner-up, and third place positions for Science and Innovative Research at the just-concluded 16th edition of the TETfund Research for Impact Initiative (R4i 16) in Abuja.
