Expect Agro Revolution in C'River Under Gov. Otu -Dr Hippolatus Lukpata

  

Commissioner For International Donor Coordination in Cross River State,Dr Hippolatus Lukpata has urged Cross River people to expect an agricultural revolution under His Excellency for economic prosperity in the state.

Hon Dr Hippolatus Lukpata made this disclosure yesterday while attending a  Two Day Multi- Stakeholders' Committee on Cocoa, Coffee and Oil palm  Production in Calabar.


The meeting unveils a 7 Year strategies Development Plan and Validation Workshop and the Commissioner has continued to be a hub for other ministries as his ministry coordinates international agencies in the state for sustainable and transformation donor support.

In his goodwill message at the event, Elder Lukpata thanked His Excellency, Apostle Senator Bassey Eder Otu for "his Agricultural Development Agenda which emphasises  going back to the root as a state and the Country".


According to the Commissioner, Nigeria was not just  the giant of Africa because of her population but as a major exporter of agro products such as Cocoa, Palm oil, Rubber, Groundnuts and other products into the international community.

"Agriculture is not just energise, body building and maintenance but an economic product to individuals, state and Nation".


  He further added that Cross Riverians should expect a revolution in Agriculture in Cross River State as Governor Otu  is determined to reposition Cross River State amongst other things through Agriculture.

Teenager Commits Suicide Over Poor JAMB Scores

  19-year-old, Opesusi Faith Timilehin, has taken her own life in Ikorodu, Lagos State, after scoring 190 in 2025 UTME. Faith Timilehin took her own life in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday The Deceased Teenager  The teenager, originally from Abeokuta, had been living with her elder sister in Ikorodu. According to family and neighbours, Timilehin was a calm and respectful young woman with high academic hopes. She had applied to study Microbiology and was deeply disappointed by her score of 190, which she considered lower than her 2024 result. “She said her last year’s result was better than this year’s,” a close friend told News Central on the phone.
