Yala Council Election: Igelle Appreciates Supporters, Urges Them To "Support The APC Family,Hon Dr Fred Okem"


Following the aftermath of the just concluded Cross River State All Progressive Congress (APC) stakeholders engagement with His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu, Hon Godwin Igelle has held an all inclusive meeting with his teeming supporters and political associates where he thanked and admonished them to remain committed to the party.



With the chairmanship election scheduled to hold on November 2, 2024, Hon Igelle at the meeting urged everyone to drum up massive support for the party and flag bearer, Dr Fred Okem.


Expressing his acceptance of the outcome in the spirit of sportsmanship, he pledged his loyalty to His Excellency, Governor Bassey Otu and also thanked Hon Jude Ogbeche Ngaji and the State Party Chairman, Alphonsus Ogar Eba, Esq. for their support during the entire process.


In a solidarity message, Igelle reassured the gathering of his unwavering support and solidarity for the All Progressives Congress. He praised the exemplary leadership qualities, and vision of Gov. Otu which has earned him the trust and confidence of Cross Riverians. His commitment to inclusivity, transparency, and accountability resonates deeply in the state.


Igelle reassured the gathering that the victory of Dr Fred Okem will be a collective triumph for the people of Yala; saying everyone should wholeheartedly support his nomination as the Chairmanship candidate and do everything humanly possible to deliver him come Nov. 2nd 2024.


"A vote for Hon. Okem is a vote for the unity of the party and all hands should be on deck to ensure his landslide victory. Our solidarity is built on Hon Okem's integrity, vision, and inclusive leadership style. We believe in his ability to transform Yala Local Government and improve our lives", Igelle reiterated.


"I appreciate your tireless efforts to engage with me, listen to me, and address our needs to remain committed to the party, and Hon Okem's candidacy. His grassroots approach and people-centered policies have endeared him to our hearts".


As the election draws near, Hon. Igelle's message of support for the APC family and the growth and development of Yala continues to inspire the community. With the people solidly behind his support for Dr Okem, he is poised to make a positive impact with the actualization of Hon Okem mandate in Yala Local Government.

Teenager Commits Suicide Over Poor JAMB Scores

  19-year-old, Opesusi Faith Timilehin, has taken her own life in Ikorodu, Lagos State, after scoring 190 in 2025 UTME. Faith Timilehin took her own life in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday The Deceased Teenager  The teenager, originally from Abeokuta, had been living with her elder sister in Ikorodu. According to family and neighbours, Timilehin was a calm and respectful young woman with high academic hopes. She had applied to study Microbiology and was deeply disappointed by her score of 190, which she considered lower than her 2024 result. “She said her last year’s result was better than this year’s,” a close friend told News Central on the phone.
