My Three Top Priority Areas If Elected As Yala LG Chair-Beatrice Akpala

Beatrice Akpala, a frontline aspirant  for the  All Progressives Congress  ticket of Yala Local Government Area has outlined three priority areas her administration would focus on if nominated as the party's chairmanship flag bearer.

While outlining a three pronged approach that would place Yala Local Government Area in a strong development lane,the chairmanship hopeful outlined the following priority areas;

1.Upholding Citizens Rights - I believe that as the Chairman of Yala Local Government Area, in order to maintain a just and democratic society, it is essential to actively Uphold Citizens' Rights such as protecting freedom of speech, assembly and religion. My dispensation will ensure equal treatment for all under the Law by promoting inclusivity and diversity within the communities.


2, Equitable Living Environment -I will strive to achieve an Equitable Living Environment for a variety of reasons especially in  the provision of essential services like; education and healthcare is paramount. It is my responsibility as Chairman to ensure that these services are distributed in an equitable manner to reduce disparities in health, education and economic opportunities. I will enforce regulations that will help to protect the rights of all residents and to promote Improved Constituents Engagement. It helps to create a more inclusive and welcoming community for everyone 


3, Maintaining Infrastructural Development And Regulation -  It will be my responsibility as the Chairman of Yala Local Government Area to ensure the appropriate maintenance of Infrastructures, I must undertake the weight of this extremely important function of the Local government that affects all community members. I will assure the continuous maintenance and inspection of all existing Infrastructures to ensure it's safety, functionality and efficiency. I will also set up modalities for the development of new infrastructures that will play crucial roles in shaping and improving the standard of living of the Citizens. I will also provide a wide range of services that will directly impact on the daily lives of all residents. Striving to meet the needs and expectations of the people will be the absolute priority of my administration.

Teenager Commits Suicide Over Poor JAMB Scores

  19-year-old, Opesusi Faith Timilehin, has taken her own life in Ikorodu, Lagos State, after scoring 190 in 2025 UTME. Faith Timilehin took her own life in Odogunyan, Ikorodu, Lagos State on Monday The Deceased Teenager  The teenager, originally from Abeokuta, had been living with her elder sister in Ikorodu. According to family and neighbours, Timilehin was a calm and respectful young woman with high academic hopes. She had applied to study Microbiology and was deeply disappointed by her score of 190, which she considered lower than her 2024 result. “She said her last year’s result was better than this year’s,” a close friend told News Central on the phone. After ingesting a substance known locally as Push Out-a common rodent poison Timilehin reportedly went to her sister’s office and asked for palm oil to ease the pain.
