Lady Dies While Undergoing Buttocks Enlargement Surgery

 A 36-year-old woman identified only as Abiola, has been confirmed dead while undergoing a buttocks enlargement procedure at a clinic in the Lekki-Phase 1 area of Lagos State. Our correspondent learnt on Wednesday that the incident occurred around 3 pm on Monday. Hundeyin said, “The private driver of the deceased reported the incident to the Maroko division. Our officers visited the scene and the body was sent to a public morgue for an autopsy. NYSC DG back tracks, commends UNICAL VC for reporting unqualified graduates for demobilisation

Yusha’u Ahmed, has commended the Vice Chancellor of UNICAL, Prof. Florence Obi, for her uprightness in reporting unqualified graduates to the scheme for demobilization. Professor Florence Obi,VC UNICAL The Director-General, gave the commendation in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr Eddy Megwa. According to Ahmed, this is in line with the scheme’s continuous efforts to prevent unqualified graduates from getting the NYSC Certificate of National Service. He said that the demobilised candidates would be prosecuted accordingly.Ahmed said that another 19 candidates who initially registered online for mobilisation have been prevented from service, while four certificates of national service for other culprits were not produced by the scheme. “This is in addition to the earlier 101 certificates that were recently voided by the scheme, making a total of ...

UNICAL reported 178 unqualified graduates to NYSC in 2023, urges scheme to release remaining 85 names

The University of Calabar has commended the NYSC for releasing names of 93 unqualified persons that were fraudulently mobilized for the one year National Youth Service Scheme following a complaint launched by the university in 2023. In a released signed by the Registrar of the University, Mr Gabriel Egbe, he said that it was the university management that exposed the criminal act and brought it to the attention of NYSC and other organizations, and not the other way round. We consider the action taken by NYSC to be a helpful step towards dealing a crushing blow on criminal impunity and desperation. While commending the Corps for this move, it is necessary to let the public know the facts about the whole uncanny story of the infiltration of our university portal with unqualified names for exemption from, and participation in, national service. The Management of the University of Calabar has reacted to the trending story of the invalidation of certificates issued to 93 unqualified persons fraudulently included in the mobilisation portal for NYSC.  In a release by the Registrar of the University of Calabar, Mr Gabriel Egbe noted that Whereas the University Management views the action taken by the NYSC as dealing a crushing blow on criminal impunity and desperation, the institution commends the Corps for the move. The Registrar in the release said it has become expedient to state the facts about the uncanny story of the infiltration of the University's portal with unqualified names for both exemption and participation in National Service for the benefit of the public.
